Canada - U.S. Relations - Key US and CDN Front Activist Groups - "Green" Agitprop - The drive for the parkification (annexation) of Canada

All is not right with the environmental movement. Follow the Money...we have been invaded and we don't know it.

We need to globally address climate change, overfishing, deforestation and protection of significant species. A science-based approach is needed - one that gives care to individuals and communities that will be displaced. To this end, fossil based fuels need to be phased out, global catches regulated, the earth's forests need to be carefully managed and endangered significant species protected. This will required action by individuals, communities and local, regional, national and international government organizations. But it will also require caring for those affected by the changes. The green movement is "staffed" by zealots who frankly do not care as long as their end is achieved. First Nations are but tools to be used as long as the end is served.

We must take care that the costs and benfits of this transition are reasonably shared - so that some groups and regions are not unreasonably impoverished - socially and economically and so that others do not "free ride".

A number of key activist groups, "little green men", seek to "defacto" bring an end to Canadian natural resource industries - oil and gas, mining, forestry, fisheries and tourism - all in the worthy name of protecting the environment and forstalling climate change. Unfortunately these groups lack balance and reasonableness. Their 'unstated' intent is to have Canada turned into a U.S. national park - for free - by co-opting us to their ends. The economic fortunes of Canadians will simply be collateral damage to the wider longer term goals of these groups. We in Canada are simply the low hanging fruit in their global campaign to "save the planet" and they have small regard for the unemployment they will create in communities across rural Canada.

This friendly, then not so friendly intrusion, began in the 1960's - reasonable, then not so reasonable -and has been accelerating ever since with the aid first of front organizations (hypenated Canada as in Tides Canada) then with local groups - non-native - then native. California has been the epicenter of this thrust. Not surprisingly it has had a strong leftist communal overtone associated with the "Peace Movement". Hence, GreenPeace which began in Canada but has since been internationaliized.

Individuals and groups in the U.S. - because of its wealth - have, through a variety of foundations and activist front organizations, manipulated Canadian and U.S. public opinion - without regard to science. Hundreds of millions have been spent in Canada by those organizations - monumental sums by Canadian political fundraising standards. They have in the process set First Nations against urban Canada, and East against West, rural Canada against urban Canada, and generation against generation. They continue to do damage to the warm and friendly relations between the U.S. and Canada. They buy / coerce political leaders at local, state/provincial and national levels up to an including the President of the United States. Over several decades they have built a formidable "network based" political structure - elected and unelected - a variety of political leaders at all levels. US Foundations have played a key role in building these "not so spontaneous" political organizations - through decades of funding.

Coincidently, the activist campaigns have served the competitive interests of U.S. lumber producers over U.S. consumers and U.S. oil producers over U.S. consumers. They have served to block or delay the sales, thus far, of Canadian oil and natural gas to Asia via Northern Gateway, blocked the Keystone XL pipeline to the Gulf Coast Refineries and the movement of oil via pipeline from Western Canada to Eastern Canada which must import its oil. Oil continues to move to U.S. markets by railcar and truck but the question must be asked - for how long. Meanwhile tankers export U.S. oil to China and Alaska oil continues to move down the West Coast to be refined in Washington State.

The "little green men" - remember the Crimea, and the al-Qaeda loose structure of national affiliates - have driven up the regulatory costs of all economc activity on the land, in the sea and in the air via public hearing processes, court challenges, and political action. The scale and duration of their intrusion into Canadian public processes is without precedent. Based on the evidence they are winning and Canadian standards of living (All 35 million) have been reduced as a result.

There is no balanced North American approach to climate and the environment. The failure of the U.S. to adopt carbon pricing means that the Western Canada economy, and Canada in general, will carry the can for the whole of the continent on climate. This represents a transfer of wealth of monumental proportions and will be a source of bitter friction between the U.S. and Canada in the years to come. Yes, the U.S. has introduced standards that reduce the great emitter of CO2 - coal but at the same time its own oil industry goes unchecked while Canada's resources from the same geological formations are blocked. These are resources that build hospitals and universities.

Canada has a resource based economy - particularly Western Canada. If you have a resourced based job it is under threat. If you buy imported goods they will get more expensive without resource exports.

This is not to suggest that Canada and Canadian's generally are not supportive of climate action and environmental protection but without a balanced approach to sharing the adjustment burden Canada - US relations cannot come to good issue.

Canadians have worked constructively with groups like the Sierra Club in the belief that they were reasonable. Over time the "Bolsheviks"(extremists) have won out over the "Mensheviks" (moderates) in many environmental organizations and those who believe in their reasonableness are in for a rude shock. Resource based communities - have awoken too late and across North America are under threat. The borderless well funded & organized social media campaign is monumental in its scale. The little green men for the most part seek the end to resource extraction without any concern for working families or communities.

Canada buys more from the U.S. than does any other nation – including all 28 countries of the European Union. Canada's ability to financially share in the defence of North America is threatened. And it's national unity is once again in question.

US foundations, billionaires and "progressive green activists" are well on the way to turning Canada into a US national park - for free - chunk by chunk by chunk. They have now fully co-opted the Democratic Party. Follow the money, follow the links below.

US Foundations are aided and abetted by a number of European groups for the US movement has gone global and in some ways made greater gains in a European population which has a long history of ideological zealotry and a deep sense of cultural superiority.

The list of organizations is only partial for the tentacles are wide and deep. How do you get on the list?...just fund or aid organizations whose goal is to parkify Canada - $500 million plus of funding and counting.

For the record these are Canada's 2020 biodiversity targets. It remains a moot point whether these targets are not just creeping targets to a wider plan.
